Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a unique therapeutic approach that combines the use of ketamine, a rapid-acting medication with antidepressant properties, with psychotherapy to facilitate deeper emotional processing and insight.
Many people turn to KAP when struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, or attachment-related challenges that have not responded fully to traditional therapies. By temporarily shifting your usual thought patterns and reducing mental defenses, ketamine can open the door to greater self-compassion, emotional breakthroughs, and a renewed sense of connection with yourself and others. You may experience a softening of your inner critic, expanded insight, release of emotional material, or a shift in how you relate to long-held narratives about yourself. Some people describe a dreamlike, transpersonal, or even mystical quality to the experience — while others simply feel more grounded, open, and able to move forward in their lives.

What to Expect
A typical KAP process includes:
-
Preparation: We meet beforehand to set intentions, answer questions, and create a sense of safety and grounding. This typically occurs starting with 3-6 50-min appointments.
-
Medicine Session: You take a ketamine lozenge in a calm, supportive space. The experience often includes vivid imagery, emotional depth, and a spacious or altered state of consciousness. I am present to support and guide you throughout. This is a 3-hour appointment.
-
Integration: In follow-up sessions, we process what came up, connecting insights to your life and nervous system. This is where lasting change takes root. This is a follow-up 50-min appointment after each journey.
Our relationship, the depth of preparation, and the care we take with integration are just as important as the medicine itself. This is not about escaping your experience — it’s about meeting it with more openness, clarity, and support.
